We are all on our own unique path on this journey called life.  Everyone has opportunities to experience struggles, joy, losses, contentment and love of self and others.  We are instructed by our current situation, people, places and things as well as by our individual histories; narratives that molded where we come from, how we think, feel, and why we do what we do.  Each path is fraught with obstacles, trauma, challenges.  Each journey can offer gifts of happiness, beauty and wonder.  When we run into an obstacle we can use help to navigate these frightening, sorrowful, uncertain waters.

I see my role as one who can support my clients in finding their best possible options for steering themselves through tough times.  I hope to hold a safe, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors related to current challenges and historic underpinnings.

Helping you to cope with the here and now as well as healing the original wounds can allow my clients to sail on smoother seas.  In addition, when the next challenge arises, as it does in this life, they will have new and useful tools to help handle thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Lastly, though not least important, my clients know that they can return to our safe, secure therapeutic relationship for future “tune-ups” or if new trauma arises, for ongoing work.

I am instructed by many psychological theories, research and years of practical application.  I have been trained, continue to learn and train others in “best practices” available in trauma-informed psychotherapy.  At the same time, each individual client brings their own thoughts, feelings, behaviors and histories.  Thus we work together to find the best possible path toward healing unique to YOU.
